The Greenstamps originate from different musical backgrounds and regions of the US, and each member brings distinct elements to the mix. The result is a repertoire of over 300 songs ranging from The Band, Neil Young and Dylan to Beatles and Stones, from Bob Marley and Peter Tosh to Hendrix and Zepplin, from Albert King and Eric Clapton to Paul Simon and John Hiatt. All three Greenstamps sing and bring their regional influences to the mix: Tom from the music halls of Georgia & Tennessee, Brian from the New York music scenes around Woodstock, and Bernie from the fertile music community in New Haven. Together they create a musical style that flows from the stage easy and effortlessly drawing the audience into the fun.

Bernie Soroko (drums and vocals) comes to The Greenstamps with a deep love of Bop, Beatles and Chicago Blues with a big helping of New Orleans funkiness.

Tom Price (bass and vocals) was influenced by the great singer/songwriters like John Hiatt, Steve Earle and Paul Simon, as well as the Stax and Sun artists.

Brian Wilkens (guitar and vocals) played roots rock with great reverence for The Band, Neil Young and Bob Dylan as well as being steeped in the blues cannon.

While many bands focus on the 25 songs that band X played last weekend, The Greenstamps play music from the heart. It shows in the chemistry that Brian, Bernie & Tom create on stage.  “I love your set list” or “Nobody plays that great song anymore” are the comments we hear most often. So if you’re looking for a heaping slice of American music, come join us at our next event.
